Meet Vanessa!
Empathy, passion, and purpose. These three words can be used to best characterize Vanessa; whether it
is describing her or describing how she moves and what she projects onto others and onto the
world. Empathy is the heart of Vanessa, and she takes a natural interest and concern for others and
what makes them happy. This makes Vanessa very effective when it comes to delivering customer
service to her clients. If empathy is the heart, Passion is the driving force behind Vanessa and all her
movements. Any projects under her purview will be met with 100% of her heart and soul. Purpose is
the bottom line. If it has no purpose, then it has no place. One should find their purpose(s) in life
and aim to achieve them. Above all else, Vanessa’s purpose is to serve. Through TGS, Vanessa has
found a unique way to serve clients in the Upstate through the dynamic experience that comes with
driving cars.
The Birth of TGS
The Generational Shift, LLC was founded in 2021 by young entrepreneur: Vanessa M. Weston.
Vanessa, a native of Greenville, SC, grew up in the city as a standout athlete as she led Southside
High School to their first and only State Championship in Women’s Basketball History. Her talents
and intellect carried her to Winston-Salem State University on a full athletic scholarship where she
obtained her bachelor’s degree in English. Upon graduation, she immediately continued her
education at the University of South Carolina, School of Law in pursuit of her Juris Doctorate
Degree. Halfway through law school, Vanessa made the bold choice to pivot. She realized that law
was not her passion, but rather business was her passion. More specifically, people were her passion.
Vanessa realized she had a keen ability to make quick connections with people as well as the ability
to foster relationships with people. The realization led to fascination with what moves people and a
strong desire to connect people and lead them to achieving higher goals together.
